After 27 years of selfless service as co-founder and as our director of program and finance, Kay Johnson will retire in June 2020. We could envision no better way to honor her than by advancing one of her greatest priorities in her work with The Choir School: ensuring our experience remains accessible to talented young people regardless of their ability to contribute to the costs of the program.
We’re doing this with the Kay Johnson Scholarship Fund and our goal is to raise $27,000 this spring — $1,000 for each of her years with The Choir School. The funds will be used over a period of at least ten years for scholarships toward our program.
